Dasht-e Kevir or the Great Salt desert is located in the center of Iran. The desert covers an area of 55,000 km2, the width is about 350 km, the length is 800 km. 

Dasht-e Lut is the hottest desert in Iran and many extremals try to conquer the desert. Dasht-e Lut is located in the provinces of Chorastan, Beluchistan, Sistian and Kerman. The desert area is 175,000 km2 (10% of the total territory of Iran), the length is 900 km and the width is 200 km.

Varzaneh is located 105km southeast of Isfahan and 240km away from Yazd. It has a population of 14,000 sprawling over 23,000km² at an altitude of 1477m above sea level. Like most parts of central Iran, it has a quite dry desert climate.

The Maranjab Desert is located in Aran va Bidgol, Esfahan province, Iran and around 60 km north-east of Kashan. This desert from north to Salt Lake Aran and Bidgol, the West Desert Lakes issue and salt pond and dock Sultan Moreh, from East to desert sand dam and Desert National Park and the southern city of Aran and Bidgol is limited.

Kerman Lut Desert

The Lut Desert, widely referred to as Dasht-e Lut is a large salt desert that geographically located in the southeastern part of Iran. It is the world's 27th largest desert that is inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. This desert is one of the world's driest and hottest places. The desert is situated in an interior basin surrounded by mountains, so it is in a rain shadow and coupled with high temperatures, the climate is hyper-arid. Gandom Beryan located in the middle of Lut Desert was introduced as the hottest part of the world; the desert is one of the most stunning examples in this magnificent world.


Kalut Shahdad Desert

The Lut Desert is divided into three parts; North, central and south Lut and in terms of geomorphology, Central Lut is divided inton three portions; Pediment, Kaluts and sand dunes. There are several Kaluts in this region that are extended from the center Lut to the west. They are the most beautiful natural phenomena. They are unique and can't be found in any desert of the world. Kaluts are bedrock features carved and streamlined by the dual action of wind abrasion of dust and sand and the deflation which is the removal of loose material by wind turbulence. The most important wind that eliminates the walls of the Kaluts is the 120-day Wind of Sistan.

 

 

Day 1: Arrive Tehran, visit it

Based on your arrival time, our national guide will come to the airport to transfer you to your hotel. In the morning, we begin our persian desert tour by visiting The Golestan Palace. This is one of the best places in Iran that consist of the emased Shamsol, the Royal Museum, The Takht-e Marmar Hall. This complex was built in the days of the Safavid dynasty, after rebuilt and used in the Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties. After visiting it we will have lunch.

Continuing our day, we will take a tour of the National Museum of Jewelry owned by the Central Bank and is home to the most precious jewels belonging to different eras of the Iranian monarchy, such as the crowns of the Pahlavi, Qajar and Safavid dynasties.

Then our next destination is The carpet museum in the persian desert. The Iranian carpet museum has at the bottom gathered the most interesting carpets and glasses with a dazzling beauty and excellent quality After the visit we will have lunch. Then we go to the hotel to stay and spend the night there.

Day 2: Fly to Kerman, go camping

In the second day of the persian desert tour, we will fly to Kerman and after the arrival, we go right to the Desert of Lut. The Desert of Lut has one of the best starry skies; if you spend the night there you will see it, you will not be able to find it anywhere else! On the way back, you will cross the desert of Shahdad. This desert is famous for having the record of the highest temperature in the world as well as for having the Kaluts! In no other place in the world can you review the Kaluts, your guide will stop to show you and explain you a lot. There are many fun things that are possible during your stay in the desert, such as safari.

Day 3: Camping

We will walk for 3 or 4 out, after it's time for lunch; then more drive and in the end we go camping.

Day 5: Departure to Yazd and stay there

This is the last day of our stay in the desert and also the day of return. Continuing our journey, we will go to Yazd, an ancient and mysterious city. Our destination is The Towers of Silence, also called Dakhma, are raised circular structures built by the Zoroastrians for excommunication, that is to say for the corpses to be exposed to the vultures.

After we will visit The Fire Temple. A Fire Temple in Zoroastrianism is the place of worship of Zoroastrians. In this religion, fire (atar) and clean water (aban) are agents of ritual purity.

Then we will go to The Amirchakhmaq Complex to visit their "Zurkhaneh", which is called Saheb a Zaman Zurkhaneh. The building found a new purpose as Zurkhaneh (the house of the force) in which "Javanmard" (gentlemen) exercised using heavy wooden clubs to build muscle.

What a nice time to say goodbye!
