Description

Nature Bridge has been designed in two stories. It is one of the largest non-vehicle-bridges that have been built in the Abbasabad fields during the contemporary history of Iran. A great part of them has been allocated to cultural and entertaining centers such as museums, museum gardens and libraries.

The Bridge is two hundred and seventy kilometers long. According to builders of Tabiat Bridge, it has been designed to accommodate and support the visitors to prolong their visit of the bridge. That is why there are many benches as well as beautiful gardens and landscapes with modern designs all along the walkway of the bridge. In addition, there are many cafes and restaurants for the visitors to choose from, who enjoy the view of the highway during night time.

Architecture

Nature Bridge is the largest pedestrian overpass built in Tehran, Iran. The 270 metre three-storey bridge made of steel connects two public parks Taleghani Park and Abo-Atash Park by spanning the Shahid Modarres, one of the main highways in northern Tehran. Instead of connecting 2 points to each other, the idea was to creat multiple paths on each park that would lead people to the bridge. The bridge was designed in order to improve access for pedestrians between two public parks, which are divided by highways. It is clear that construction of the bridge over a large highway can be considered as a big challenge accompanied by temporary tunnels and platforms built to ensure that nothing fell on to the road below.
